the modern website
We design and build websites on the rock solid foundation of our Five Elements of Modern Web Design. According to our philosophy, your website should be:
- usable: Your website's navigation should be intuitive and the site itself responsive. Users should not have to struggle to find the information they need nor should they have to suffer long page downloads to get it.
- accessible: Your website should be accessible to all who choose to visit it, including those with disabilities that may not allow them to interact with your site in the typical manner.
- forward compatible: Your website should be functional across all modern web browsers, now and into the future, and should degrade gracefully when viewed with older browsers. This should happen without the necessity of hosting multiple versions of your site and without costly site updates with each new browser version.
- updateable: If required, the content of your site should be easy to update by you, the site owner. You should not have to know complicated code and you should not have to pay a developer or webmaster to update it according to their timetable.
- sensational: Your site should not only function well, it should look great also. The web has matured and its users are sophisticated. Your site represents your organization and it should be dressed accordingly!
Our methods accomplish these objectives through the implementation of solid design principles, web standards, and when updateable content is necessary, the use of content management systems.
We know that with these systems and standards in place at the core of our process, we are free to what we do best: create a user experience and visual design that best serves the content of your site, the spirit of your brand, and the expectations of your audience.
